Both phones we are comparing work with Android OS (operating system), but HTC One M9 has an older 5.0 version while HTC One A9 has Android 6.0 version. HTC One M9's construction is noticeably thicker and just a little heavier than the HTC One A9.
HTC One M9 features a much more powerful CPU than HTC One A9, and although they both have 3 GB of RAM memory, the HTC One M9 also has a higher number of cores, a 64 bits CPU and a graphics processing unit. The HTC One M9 shoots much clearer photos and videos than HTC One A9, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low light photography and videos, it also counts with a way better (4K) video definition and a back facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
