The Asus ROG Phone 6D body is newer, but extremely heavier and a bit thicker than HTC One (M8). Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but the Asus ROG Phone 6D has newer 12 version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0, giving you a couple additional features and better performance.
HTC One (M8) counts with a little more vivid display than Asus ROG Phone 6D, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater display density. Asus ROG Phone 6D counts with a superior storage capacity for applications and games than HTC One (M8), because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.
HTC One (M8) has a much greater hardware performance than Asus ROG Phone 6D, because although it has less RAM and an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Asus ROG Phone 6D counts with a way better camera than HTC One (M8), because it has a much larger camera sensor shooting lot better quality videos and photographs, a back-facing camera with much more mega pixels, a much better video definition and a bigger diafragm aperture.
The Asus ROG Phone 6D has a much longer battery performance than HTC One (M8), because it has a 131% greater battery size.
