The Google Pixel 3a XL is just a bit better than HTC One (M8), with a score of 78.9 against 71.9. Google Pixel 3a XL's construction is way newer and somewhat thinner than HTC One (M8)'s, but it's a little heavier. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Google Pixel 3a XL has the newer 11 version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0, so it gives lots of additional features and enhanced performance.
HTC One (M8) features a bit more powerful processing unit than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has an inferior number of cores and 2 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics co-processor. The HTC One (M8) counts with a much better looking display than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of screen.
The Google Pixel 3a XL captures much better videos and photos than HTC One (M8), because it has a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a larger sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality, a bigger aperture for better photography and videos in poorly lited environments and a way more megapixels camera in the back.
The HTC One (M8) features a slightly bigger memory to store more apps and games than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has only 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds up to 128 GB. Google Pixel 3a XL has a very superior battery lifetime than HTC One (M8), because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity.
The Google Pixel 3a XL not only is the best phones in our comparison, but it's also by far the cheapest.
