The HTC U Ultra has an overall score of 77, which is a little bit better than the HTC One (M8)'s general score of 71.9. Even though HTC U Ultra is a bit heavier than the HTC One (M8), it's thinner and way newer. The HTC One (M8) features a little better processing power than HTC U Ultra, because although it has 2 GB lesser RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One (M8) also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.

HTC One (M8) features a bit more vivid screen than HTC U Ultra, although it has a just a bit worse screen density, a bit smaller display and a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The HTC U Ultra counts with a much greater storage for applications and games than HTC One (M8), because it has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and more internal storage.

The HTC U Ultra features just a little bit longer battery lifetime than HTC One (M8), because it has a 15 percent more battery capacity. HTC U Ultra counts with a better camera than HTC One (M8), because it has a way larger back-facing camera sensor which provides a lot better photo and video quality, a bigger aperture for better captures and video in poorly lited situations, a much better video quality and a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.

Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it costs a lot more money than HTC One (M8), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HTC One (M8). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy HTC U Ultra, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the HTC One (M8), letting go some features and specifications.
