Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a bit better than the HTC One (M8), with a score of 78.7 against 71.9. Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is just a bit heavier than the HTC One (M8), it's thinner and also notably newer. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has 8.0 Oreo version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0, giving you a couple additional features.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro's processing unit is very similar to the processing unit in HTC One (M8), because although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with more cores and a higher amount of RAM memory. HTC One (M8) counts with a little sharper display than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it has a little bit smaller display, a quite lower number of pixels per inch of screen and a way lower 1920 x 1080 resolution.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro captures better videos and photos than HTC One (M8), because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for capturing photos and video in low-light situations, it also counts with a larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution and a camera with a way better 12 mega-pixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a lot bigger storage to install applications and games than HTC One (M8), because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a very superior battery duration than HTC One (M8), because it has a 4000mAh battery size against 2600mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than HTC One (M8), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One (M8). If you want to save some dollars, you can buy HTC One (M8), giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
