Although Huawei nova 3 is just a little heavier than the HTC One (M8), it's much thinner and also notably newer. These phones have Android OS, but Huawei nova 3 has the newer 8.1 Oreo version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0, so it gives you some nice extra features and a performance increase.

Huawei nova 3 captures much clearer photos and videos than HTC One (M8), because it has a lot better video definition, a bigger camera aperture to take better photos in low-light environments and a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels. Huawei nova 3 has a much better memory capacity for applications and games than HTC One (M8), because it has an external SD slot that allows up to 256 GB and more internal memory capacity.
Huawei nova 3 has a much longer battery life than HTC One (M8), because it has 3750mAh of battery capacity.
