Comparison review
The Huawei P30 Lite has a global score of 77, which is just a bit better than HTC One (M8)'s 71.9 general score. Both phones we are comparing work with Android OS, but Huawei P30 Lite has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0 version, counting with some additional features. The Huawei P30 Lite body is much newer, thinner and a little bit lighter than HTC One (M8).
The HTC One (M8) has a brighter display than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a quite lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a little greater screen pixels density. Huawei P30 Lite has a very superior storage for games and applications than HTC One (M8), because it has 96 GB more internal storage and a SD extension slot that supports up to 512 GB.
The HTC One (M8) features a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has less RAM and less CPU cores , it also counts with a graphics processing unit. The Huawei P30 Lite captures just a bit better photographs and videos than HTC One (M8), and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Huawei P30 Lite also has a lot more mega pixels back facing camera, a bigger aperture to capture better low light captures and a much larger back camera sensor which gives a lot higher image and video quality.
Huawei P30 Lite features improved battery performance than HTC One (M8), because it has a 3340mAh battery capacity against 2600mAh.
Although Huawei P30 Lite is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC One (M8), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HTC One (M8). So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei P30 Lite, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the HTC One (M8), giving up a couple features and specs.
