Motorola Edge 40 Pro has an overall score of 83.4, which is better than HTC One (M8)'s overall score of 71.9. Even though the Motorola Edge 40 Pro is somewhat heavier than the HTC One (M8), it's just a bit thinner and way newer. Both of these phones use Android OS, but Motorola Edge 40 Pro has a newer 13 version and HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0, so it offers some nice extra features.

The HTC One (M8) features a really superior processing power than Motorola Edge 40 Pro, because although it has 4 lesser cores (although they are faster) and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The HTC One (M8) features a bit more vivid screen than Motorola Edge 40 Pro, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a little greater number of pixels per inch in the display.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro counts with a way better camera than HTC One (M8), because it has a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low light photos, a lot higher 50 mega pixels resolution camera, a lot bigger sensor which provides a lot higher image and video quality and a way better 7680x4320 video resolution.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro has much more storage to store more games and applications than HTC One (M8), because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Motorola Edge 40 Pro has a much longer battery lifetime than HTC One (M8), because it has a 77 percent more battery capacity.
