Motorola Moto Z3 Play has a global score of 76.3, which is a bit better than HTC One (M8)'s general score of 71.9. Motorola Moto Z3 Play's design is notably newer, just a little bit lighter and much thinner than HTC One (M8). HTC One (M8) features a better looking display than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a little smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a little more pixels per display inch.

HTC One (M8) counts with a bit better CPU than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and lesser cpu cores (but faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit. The Moto Z3 Play counts with a much greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than HTC One (M8), because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB and more internal storage capacity.

The Moto Z3 Play has a little better battery duration than HTC One (M8), because it has a 15% greater battery size. Motorola Moto Z3 Play shoots better photographs and videos than HTC One (M8), because it has a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking better quality pictures, a lot higher (4K) video definition, a back camera with a lot better resolution and a larger aperture for better photography and video in poorly lited environments.

Although Motorola Moto Z3 Play is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC One (M8), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC One (M8). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Motorola Moto Z3 Play, else you can save some dollars and get the HTC One (M8), resigning a couple specs and features.
