Galaxy Note8 has a global score of 83, which is better than HTC One (M8)'s overall score of 71.9. The Galaxy Note8 design is way newer and a little thinner than HTC One (M8)'s, but it is heavier. These devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0 version.
The HTC One (M8) and the Galaxy Note8 count with similar processing units, because although the Galaxy Note8 has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and more CPU cores (although they are slower). The HTC One (M8) has a slightly better display than Galaxy Note8, although it has a really smaller screen, a lot worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a little bit worse count of pixels per screen inch.
Samsung Galaxy Note8 shoots much better pictures and videos than HTC One (M8), because it has a much higher (4K) video resolution, a bigger diafragm aperture to take better low light images and videos, a bigger camera sensor shooting higher quality photos and a way better 12 MP resolution camera in the back.
The Galaxy Note8 counts with a way bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than HTC One (M8), because it has an external memory slot that allows up to 256 GB and 64 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy Note8 features better battery performance than HTC One (M8), because it has a 27 percent more battery size.
Galaxy Note8 is more expensive than HTC One (M8), but you can get a better phone for that extra dollars.
