The Xperia 1 V has a general score of 82.7, which is much better than HTC One (M8)'s overall score of 71.9. The Xperia 1 V design is much newer and thinner, but somewhat heavier than the HTC One (M8). These phones include Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia 1 V has the newer 13 version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0 version, counting with some extra features and enhanced performance.
The HTC One (M8) counts with a much better performing processor than Xperia 1 V, because although it has a lower number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. Sony Xperia 1 V has a very superior battery performance than HTC One (M8), because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
