The Xperia XZs is slightly better than HTC One (M8), with a global score of 77.2 against 71.9. Xperia XZs is a extremely newer and somewhat thinner cellphone than the HTC One (M8), although it is just a little heavier. The HTC One (M8) features a little bit better processing power than Sony Xperia XZs, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One (M8) also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.
HTC One (M8) has a better looking screen than Xperia XZs, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, the HTC One (M8) also counts with a little more pixels per screen inch. The Xperia XZs counts with a greater camera than HTC One (M8), and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the Xperia XZs also has a much higher 19 MP resolution back facing camera, a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a lot larger back camera sensor which gives a way higher image and video quality.
Sony Xperia XZs counts with a bit bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than HTC One (M8), and although they both have equal internal storage, the Sony Xperia XZs also has an external memory card slot that admits up to 256 GB. Xperia XZs has just a bit better battery lifetime than HTC One (M8), because it has 2900mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia XZs is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC One (M8), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One (M8). So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZs, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the HTC One (M8), resigning some specifications.
