The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a score of 79.8, which is better than the HTC One (M8)'s score of 71.9. Both of these devices work with Android OS, but Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has the newer 5.1 version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0 version, offering a lot of extra features and some performance improvements. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a newer and thinner device than HTC One (M8), although it's somewhat heavier.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a brighter display than HTC One (M8), because it has a much better 3840 x 2160px resolution, much more pixels per screen inch and a bit larger display. Xperia Z5 Premium is a lot more expensive than the HTC One (M8), but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
