Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Max is just a bit better than the HTC One (M8), with a 77.5 score against 71.9. Even though the Xiaomi Mi Max is way heavier than the HTC One (M8), it's thinner and notably newer. HTC One (M8) has a sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a really smaller display, and they both have the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the HTC One (M8) also counts with a higher display pixel density.
The HTC One (M8) counts with a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Xiaomi Mi Max has a superior memory to install games and applications than HTC One (M8), because it has 128 GB internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
Xiaomi Mi Max takes much clearer photographs and videos than HTC One (M8), and although they both have a same size camera aperture, the Xiaomi Mi Max also has a much better video definition and a camera with a lot higher 16 mega-pixels resolution. The Xiaomi Mi Max features a superior battery performance than HTC One (M8), because it has 4850mAh of battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
