Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a global score of 76, which is slightly better than the HTC One (M8)'s global score of 71.9. Xiaomi Mi Note 2's body is much newer and thinner than the HTC One (M8)'s, although it's just a little bit heavier. Both phones we compare here work with Android OS, but the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has 6.0 Marshmallow version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0.
The HTC One (M8) features a more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 1920 x 1080, the HTC One (M8) also counts with a quite greater pixels quantity per display inch. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a much bigger storage to install games and applications than HTC One (M8), because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.
HTC One (M8) has a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have 4 cpu cores, the HTC One (M8) also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 counts with a bit better camera than HTC One (M8), and although they both have a same size aperture, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 also has a way more mega pixels camera, a lot better (4K) video quality and a larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a much better battery lifetime than HTC One (M8), because it has a 57 percent bigger battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than HTC One (M8), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One (M8). If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get HTC One (M8), and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
