Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is slightly better than HTC One (M8), with a 75.8 score against 71.9. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro construction is noticeably newer and somewhat thinner than the HTC One (M8)'s, but it is also somewhat heavier.
HTC One (M8) counts with a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has 4 GB less RAM and a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a graphics processing unit. HTC One (M8) features a better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a just a little better pixels amount per inch in the screen.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro takes clearer photographs and videos than HTC One (M8), because although it has lower video frame rates and a tinier aperture which is not favorable for capturing pictures and/or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro also counts with a camera in the back with much more MP.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a way better battery lifetime than HTC One (M8), because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
