Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a bit better than HTC One (M8), having a global score of 76.6 against 71.9. Although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is heavier than HTC One (M8), it's a little thinner and noticeably newer. These devices work with Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has 10 version and HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0 version.
HTC One (M8) counts with a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has 4 lesser CPU cores (although faster) and lesser RAM, it also counts with an extra GPU. HTC One (M8) features a much better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a way smaller screen and a little bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch of screen.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a very superior camera than HTC One (M8), because although it has slower video frame rates, and they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a back-facing camera with a way better resolution, a way bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a bigger camera aperture.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than HTC One (M8), and although they both have an external memory card slot that holds up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has more internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a way better battery life than HTC One (M8), because it has a 93% bigger battery capacity.
Despite of being the best phone in our comparison, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is also cheaper than the HTC One (M8), which makes it an easy decision.
