Both phones in this comparison use Android OS, but LG V10 has 5.1 version and HTC One (M8) has Android 4.4.4 version, providing you a couple additional features. The LG V10 is a newer and just a little thinner phone than the HTC One (M8), but it is heavier.

The HTC One (M8) features a faster processor than LG V10, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and also faster) and an additional graphics co-processor. The LG V10 has a slightly better display than HTC One (M8), because it has a better 2560 x 1440 resolution, a little bigger screen and a bit better quantity of pixels in each inch in the display.

LG V10 has a much greater memory capacity to store more games and applications than HTC One (M8), because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal storage capacity. The LG V10 features a bit superior battery life than HTC One (M8), because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.

LG V10 has a lot better camera than HTC One (M8), because it has a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a bigger camera aperture to capture better captures in poorly lited situations and a camera in the back with way more mega pixels.

The LG V10 costs a little more money than the HTC One (M8), but it's still a great deal, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
