Comparison review

The Galaxy S4 is just a bit better than the HTC One (M8), getting a global score of 76.1 against 71.6. Both phones we compare here have Android OS, but Galaxy S4 has the previous 4.4.2 version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0. Galaxy S4's construction is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than HTC One (M8), although it was released around a year before.

The Galaxy S4 and HTC One (M8) count with incredibly similar screens, both of them have a greater number of pixels per inch of screen, an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080px and a same size screen. HTC One (M8) counts with a lot bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S4, because it has more internal storage capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 128 GB.

HTC One (M8) features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy S4, and although they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount, the HTC One (M8) also has a much better graphics co-processor running at 450 MHz. The Samsung Galaxy S4 takes just a bit better videos and photos than HTC One (M8), because although it has slower 30 fps video frame rate, a tinier back-facing camera sensor taking lower quality photos and a tinier camera aperture which is not so good for low-light images and video, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S4 also counts with a back camera with a way better resolution.

The Galaxy S4 counts with a battery duration that is very similar to the battery duration in HTC One (M8).

The Galaxy S4 not only is the best devices between the ones we are comparing here, but it's also by far the cheapest one.
