The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max is way better than the HTC One M9, with a overall score of 94.9 against 77.7. The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max comes with iOS 16.x OS, and HTC One M9 counts with Android 5.0 OS. Even though the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max is extremely heavier than the HTC One M9, it's thinner and a lot newer.
IPhone 14 Pro Max counts with a bit better performance than HTC One M9, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor and a lower number of cores (although faster), and they both have a 64-bit processor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max also counts with 3 GB more RAM. HTC One M9 has just a bit better display than iPhone 14 Pro Max, although it has a way lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a just a bit lower pixel count per inch of screen and a really smaller display.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max captures much better photos and videos than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max also has higher video frame rates, a bigger aperture to capture better low light images and video and a back-facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max features a superior memory for games and applications than HTC One M9, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. The iPhone 14 Pro Max features a much better battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has a 52% bigger battery size.
Although iPhone 14 Pro Max is a better device, it is way more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC One M9. So if you want that extra features, you can buy iPhone 14 Pro Max, else you can save some dollars and buy the HTC One M9, giving up some specifications.
