Comparison review
The iPhone 8 Plus has a global score of 87.1, which is better than the HTC One M9's 77.7 global score. The iPhone 8 Plus construction is a lot newer and a lot thinner, but also a lot heavier than HTC One M9. HTC One M9 features a bit better looking screen than iPhone 8 Plus, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1920 x 1080, the HTC One M9 also counts with a bit greater number of pixels in each inch of display.
The iPhone 8 Plus features a much greater memory capacity for apps and games than HTC One M9, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory. IPhone 8 Plus has a little bit better hardware performance than HTC One M9, although it has less cores and doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, they both have a 64 bits CPU and the same RAM memory amount.
HTC One M9 has just a bit better battery duration than iPhone 8 Plus, because it has 2840mAh of battery capacity. IPhone 8 Plus and HTC One M9 have extremely similar cameras, because although the iPhone 8 Plus has a much smaller sensor taking way worse quality pictures, a worse (4K) video resolution and a back facing camera with much less MP, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture.
Although iPhone 8 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more money than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the HTC One M9, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
