Comparison review
Google Pixel 4a has a global score of 82.9, which is a little bit better than HTC One M9's 77.7 general score. Google Pixel 4a's design is noticeably newer, thinner and just a bit lighter than HTC One M9. Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Google Pixel 4a has newer 11 version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version, so it gives a couple additional features.
HTC One M9 counts with a little faster CPU than Google Pixel 4a, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 processing cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a graphics co-processor and a 64-bits CPU. The HTC One M9 has a better looking display than Google Pixel 4a, although it has a quite lower 1920 x 1080 resolution, a little smaller screen and a quite worse pixel density.
HTC One M9 takes a little bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 4a, because although it has a lot smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for low-light images and videos, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the HTC One M9 also counts with a bigger back camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a camera in the back with a lot better 20 mega pixels resolution.
Google Pixel 4a counts with a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than HTC One M9, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Google Pixel 4a features just a bit longer battery performance than HTC One M9, because it has a 3140mAh battery size against 2840mAh.
Although Google Pixel 4a is a better device, it costs a lot more money than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Google Pixel 4a, but if you don't you can save some money and get the HTC One M9, resigning some features and specs.
