Google Pixel 4a 5G has a score of 87.5, which is much better than the HTC One M9's 77.7 overall score. Google Pixel 4a 5G is a a lot newer and somewhat thinner phone than the HTC One M9, although it's also just a little bit heavier. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but Google Pixel 4a 5G has a newer 11 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version, providing a couple additional features and performance enhancements.
The HTC One M9 features a sharper display than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a little bit worse 1920 x 1080px resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. HTC One M9 features a bit faster processor than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an extra GPU and a 64 bits processor.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a much better memory capacity for applications and games than HTC One M9, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Google Pixel 4a 5G features a way better battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has 3885mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G features a slightly better camera than HTC One M9, because although it has a tinier camera sensor offering a lower image quality, a lower video resolution and a lot less mega-pixels back camera, it also counts with a much larger aperture to capture better low light images.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC One M9. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Google Pixel 4a 5G, else you can save some money and buy the HTC One M9, resigning a couple specifications.
