Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 has a global score of 79.5, which is just a bit better than the HTC One M9's 77.7 overall score. The Huawei Mate 20 design is notably newer and thinner, but also somewhat heavier than HTC One M9. Both devices in this review include Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate 20 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version.
HTC One M9 features just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a GPU and a 64-bit CPU. HTC One M9 has a bit more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a little lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a bit greater pixels number per inch in the display.
The HTC One M9 captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for low-light captures and a tinier camera sensor capturing lower quality videos and photographs, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the HTC One M9 also counts with a way higher 20 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.
The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a superior memory capacity for games and applications than HTC One M9, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Huawei Mate 20 has a way better battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has a 41 percent more battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get HTC One M9, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
