Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than the HTC One M9, having a 78.7 score against 77.7. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a newer and noticeably thinner cellphone than HTC One M9, although it is also just a little bit heavier. These phones work with Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0.
The HTC One M9 counts with a bit faster CPU than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the HTC One M9 also counts with an additional graphics processor and a 64-bit CPU. HTC One M9 features a bit better display than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it has a lot worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, a bit lower pixels density and a bit smaller screen.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a superior memory capacity for applications and games than HTC One M9, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. HTC One M9 counts with a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a F2.2 camera aperture, the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the HTC One M9 also has a bigger sensor taking higher quality videos and photos and a much more mega pixels back facing camera.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a really longer battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy HTC One M9, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
