Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X has a general score of 89.4, which is much better than HTC One M9's general score of 77.7. Both phones we compare here come with Android OS, but Huawei Mate X has the newer 9.0 Pie version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0. The Huawei Mate X construction is incredibly newer, but thicker and a lot heavier than the HTC One M9.
HTC One M9 features a little better processing power than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64-bit processing unit and an extra GPU. The HTC One M9 features a more vivid screen than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a way worse 1920 x 1080px resolution and a really smaller display, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of display.
Huawei Mate X features a much greater memory to install applications and games than HTC One M9, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate X has a very superior battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
The HTC One M9 takes better photos and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for low-light photos and video, a back facing camera with lot less mega-pixels resolution and a lot tinier camera sensor taking less light and duller colors.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HTC One M9. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save some money and buy the HTC One M9, giving up a couple specifications.
