The LG G8 ThinQ is just a bit better than HTC One M9, having a general score of 84.3 against 77.7. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android OS, but the LG G8 ThinQ has a newer 9.0 Pie version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version, so it provides the user some additional features and some performance improvements. The LG G8 ThinQ is a extremely newer and somewhat thinner device than the HTC One M9, but it's also just a bit heavier.

LG G8 ThinQ has just a bit better display than HTC One M9, because it has a lot better resolution of 1440 x 3120, a larger display and a higher pixel count per inch in the display. LG G8 ThinQ has a much greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC One M9, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.

HTC One M9 has a bit more powerful processor than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has 3 GB less RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an extra graphics co-processor and a 64 bits processor. LG G8 ThinQ has a camera that's just as good as HTC One M9's camera, because although the LG G8 ThinQ has a lower 3840x2160 video quality, a much worse 12 mega pixels resolution camera in the back and a smaller camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors, it also counts with a way larger camera aperture for better photos in low-light environments.

The LG G8 ThinQ has improved battery life than HTC One M9, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity against 2840mAh.

The LG G8 ThinQ costs more money than HTC One M9, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
