Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Duo is slightly better than the HTC One M9, getting a 78.8 score against 77.7. Although the Microsoft Surface Duo is heavier than HTC One M9, it's notably thinner and also incredibly newer. Both of these devices include Android OS (operating system), but Microsoft Surface Duo has the newer 10 version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0, giving a couple nice extra features.
HTC One M9 features a sharper display than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a way lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit higher pixels number per inch in the screen. Microsoft Surface Duo features a much better memory for apps and games than HTC One M9, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
HTC One M9 features a bit better performance than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an additional graphics processor and a 64 bits CPU. Microsoft Surface Duo counts with greater battery life than HTC One M9, because it has a 26 percent bigger battery capacity.
HTC One M9 captures much better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for taking photos and videos in low-light environments and worse video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the HTC One M9 also counts with a way more MP camera.
Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy HTC One M9, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
