Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A40 has a general score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than the HTC One M9's global score of 77.7. The Samsung Galaxy A40 body is a lot newer, thinner and somewhat lighter than the HTC One M9. Both of these phones work with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy A40 has a more recent 11 version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0.
HTC One M9 counts with a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a little lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little higher pixel density. HTC One M9 features a superior processing unit than Galaxy A40, because although it has 1 GB less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64-bits processor and an additional GPU.
The HTC One M9 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a lot smaller camera aperture which is not so good for taking images or video in low light situations, it also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting better quality videos and photos, a way higher 3840x2160 video resolution and a back camera with a higher 20 mega-pixels resolution.
Samsung Galaxy A40 has a much better storage capacity to install applications and games than HTC One M9, because it has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB and 32 GB more internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy A40 features a bit superior battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has a 9 percent larger battery size.
