Both devices in this comparison review come with Android OS, but HTC One M9 has a newer 5.0 version and Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4 version, so it provides you a couple additional features.
The HTC One M9 features a sharper display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a much higher resolution of 1920 x 1080, a better display density and a quite bigger screen. HTC One M9 has a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same internal memory, the HTC One M9 also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 128 GB.
The HTC One M9 has a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 64-bit processor, a better graphics processing unit running at 600 MHz, a greater amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores (but slower).
