Comparison review
Galaxy S5 has an overall score of 80.8, which is slightly better than the HTC One M9's 77.7 general score. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S5 has an older 4.4.2 version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version. Even though the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M9 were released only 8 months apart, the Galaxy S5 is a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner.
The HTC One M9 features just a bit better processing power than Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the HTC One M9 also has a 64 bits processor, a faster GPU and 4 more CPU cores. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features just a bit better looking display than HTC One M9, and although they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also has a higher number of pixels per inch in the display and a little bit larger display.
HTC One M9 has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the same aperture and the same video frame rate, the HTC One M9 also has a more megapixels back facing camera and a larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 features as much storage capacity to store more games and applications as the HTC One M9 one, they have equal internal memory and a SD extension slot that allows up to 128 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a battery duration that is very similar to the battery duration in HTC One M9, although the Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 1 percent lower battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy S5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HTC One M9. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the HTC One M9, resigning a couple specifications.
