Galaxy S5 Sport has a score of 77.8, which is slightly better than HTC One M9's 77.7 score. Even though the Galaxy S5 Sport and HTC One M9 were only released with a few months difference, the Galaxy S5 Sport design is a little bit thinner but just a little bit heavier than HTC One M9. These phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S5 Sport has older 4.4.2 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0.
HTC One M9 features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a higher amount of RAM, a larger number of cores , a much better graphics processing unit working at 600 MHz and a 64-bits CPU. HTC One M9 features just a bit better looking display than Galaxy S5 Sport, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the HTC One M9 also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of display.
The HTC One M9 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, the same video frame rates and a same size diafragm aperture, the HTC One M9 also has a back facing camera with more mega pixels and a bigger sensor providing a better image quality.
HTC One M9 has a lot bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 128 GB, the HTC One M9 also has 16 GB more internal memory. The Galaxy S5 Sport counts with a battery performance that's very similar to the battery duration in HTC One M9, although the Galaxy S5 Sport has a 1% lower battery size.
Although Galaxy S5 Sport is a better device, it costs a lot more money than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HTC One M9. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy HTC One M9, letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
