Comparison review
The Galaxy S6 Active has an overall score of 80.9, which is a bit better than the HTC One M9's 77.7 global score. Galaxy S6 Active is a notably lighter and a little thinner device than the HTC One M9. Both of these phones include the same Android 5.0 operating system, so both should give you very similar OS features.
The Galaxy S6 Active has a little sharper screen than HTC One M9, because it has a greater pixel density, a better 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and a little larger display. The Galaxy S6 Active features a little faster CPU than HTC One M9, and although they both have a 64-bit CPU, a 3 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores, the Galaxy S6 Active also has a much better 650 megahertz GPU.
The HTC One M9 counts with a much greater memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. Both of them have equal internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active features better battery performance than HTC One M9, because it has a 3500mAh battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
The HTC One M9 has a much better camera than Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the HTC One M9 also counts with a camera in the back with a higher resolution and a bigger sensor shooting better quality photos.
Although Galaxy S6 Active is a better device, it costs more money than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC One M9. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the HTC One M9, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
