Comparison review
The HTC One M9 has a score of 77.7, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's overall score of 75.8. Despite of the fact that HTC One M9 is older than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, it's body is a bit thinner and lighter. Galaxy S7 Active has a display that's just as good as the display in HTC One M9, although the Galaxy S7 Active also has a little bigger display, more pixels per inch in the display and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560.
Galaxy S7 Active counts with a slightly better memory to install games and applications than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal memory, the Galaxy S7 Active also has a SD memory slot that holds up to 200 GB. HTC One M9 has a better performance than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with an extra GPU, a 64-bits processor and more cpu cores.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has a way better battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 2840mAh. HTC One M9 has just a bit better camera than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a way smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the HTC One M9 also counts with a much more mega pixels back facing camera.
HTC One M9 is not only the best phones in our comparison, but it's also a lot cheaper.
