Comparison review
Galaxy S8 Active is a bit better than HTC One M9, having a overall score of 81.9 against 77.7. Galaxy S8 Active is a a lot newer cellphone than the HTC One M9, but it is a little bit thicker and way heavier. HTC One M9 features a slightly better looking display than Galaxy S8 Active, although it has a lot worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, a bit smaller screen and a little bit worse amount of pixels per display inch.
HTC One M9 features a little better processing power than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the HTC One M9 also counts with an additional graphics processor and a 64 bits CPU. The HTC One M9 shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a way smaller aperture which is not so good for capturing images and videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the HTC One M9 also counts with a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera and a bigger back camera sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a very superior storage for games and applications than HTC One M9, because it has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB and 32 GB more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a very superior battery life than HTC One M9, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 2840mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is a better device, it costs more money than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC One M9. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, else you can save some money and get the HTC One M9, resigning some features and specs.
