HTC One M9 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max, with a score of 77.7 against 77.5. Despite of the fact the HTC One M9 is older and a lot thicker than Xiaomi Mi Max, it's construction is still notably lighter. HTC One M9 has a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the HTC One M9 also counts with a greater screen density.
Xiaomi Mi Max counts with a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC One M9, because it has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB and 96 GB more internal memory. HTC One M9 has a superior hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an extra graphics processor and a 64 bits processor.
HTC One M9 features a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the HTC One M9 also counts with a back-facing camera with more mega pixels.
Xiaomi Mi Max features a much better battery performance than HTC One M9, because it has 4850mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
