Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a general score of 81.2, which is just a bit better than the HTC One M9's global score of 77.7. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 construction is a lot newer and incredibly thinner, but also heavier than the HTC One M9. HTC One M9 counts with a more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, it also counts with a quite better display pixel density.
HTC One M9 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and an extra GPU. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 counts with a much greater memory for applications and games than HTC One M9, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has longer battery life than HTC One M9, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh. HTC One M9 captures a little bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the HTC One M9 also counts with a bigger camera sensor taking higher quality pictures and videos and a back-facing camera with way more mega-pixels.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC One M9. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the HTC One M9, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
