Comparison review
HTC One M9 is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021, getting a general score of 77.7 against 76.7. The HTC One M9 design is somewhat lighter than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021, but it is thicker and was released many years before. Both phones in this review include Android OS, but the HTC One M9 has the previous 5.0 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 has Android 11 version.
The HTC One M9 features a better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021, because although it has a little bit lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher pixels density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 features much more storage for games and applications than HTC One M9, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 also has 64 GB internal memory capacity.
The HTC One M9 counts with a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 processing cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and a 64 bits processor. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 has a way better battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity against 2840mAh.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 takes clearer pictures and videos than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 also has a camera with a much better 48 megapixels resolution, a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a bigger camera aperture to take better low-light photography and video.
