The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is slightly better than HTC One M9, with a 79 score against 77.7. Both devices in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a more recent 11 version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0, giving you a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a noticeably newer and a little bit thinner phone than the HTC One M9, although it is also notably heavier.
The HTC One M9 counts with a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a little worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the display. HTC One M9 counts with a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a graphics co-processor and a 64 bits processing unit.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a lot bigger memory for games and applications than HTC One M9, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S shoots much clearer photos and videos than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a larger sensor providing a higher image quality, a back-facing camera with lot more mega pixels and a larger camera aperture.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a superior battery performance than HTC One M9, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is a better device, it costs more money than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, else you can save some money and buy the HTC One M9, letting go some specs and features.
