These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S III has the older 4.1.2 version while HTC One X+ has Android 4.2.2.

The Samsung Galaxy S III's processing unit is very similar to HTC One X+'s processing unit, because although the Samsung Galaxy S III has an inferior number of cores, it also counts with an additional graphics processor and a higher amount of RAM. HTC One X+ has a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1280 x 720px resolution, the HTC One X+ also counts with a just a bit greater number of pixels in each inch of display.

The HTC One X+ has much more memory for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. Galaxy S III's battery duration is very similar to HTC One X+'s battery performance. Galaxy S III shoots better videos and photos than HTC One X+, although it has a way smaller aperture which is not good for low light photos, they both have a 8 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, the same (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates.
