Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is better than the HTC One X10's 73.8 general score. The Xperia 1 construction has the same thickness than HTC One X10, but it is just a little bit heavier. Xperia 1 counts with a bit faster processing unit than HTC One X10, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia 1 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Xperia 1 features a more vivid screen than HTC One X10, because it has a much greater screen density, a much better resolution of 1644 x 3840 and a bigger screen. Xperia 1 has a quite bigger storage for games and applications than HTC One X10, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that allows 1,45 TB smaller, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
The HTC One X10 features greater battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 20% more battery size. Sony Xperia 1 features a bit better camera than HTC One X10, because although it has a lot less mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a lot higher (4K) video definition and a bigger camera aperture.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC One X10, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC One X10. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia 1, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the HTC One X10, resigning a couple features and specs.
