Although the HTC Touch Diamond CDMA and LG KC780 were released with only a couple of months difference, the HTC Touch Diamond CDMA design is a bit thicker but a bit lighter. The HTC Touch Diamond CDMA has a more vivid display than LG KC780, because it has a lot higher 640 x 480 resolution, a lot higher pixel number per inch of display and a larger screen.

The HTC Touch Diamond CDMA has a better performing processor than LG KC780, because it has a higher number of faster cores. The HTC Touch Diamond CDMA features a much better storage for applications and games than LG KC780, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 3,86 GB more internal storage.

The HTC Touch Diamond CDMA has a really longer battery life than LG KC780, because it has a 1340mAh battery size instead of 900mAh. The LG KC780 shoots way better pictures and videos than HTC Touch Diamond CDMA, because it has a back-facing camera with a much better 8 megapixels resolution.
