Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a global score of 78.7, which is just a bit better than the HTC U Play's 73.5 global score. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro design is a little thinner but heavier than the HTC U Play, and they were only released with a couple of months difference. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit better processing power than HTC U Play, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has more RAM memory.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a little bit better looking screen than HTC U Play, because it has a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution, a higher screen pixels density and a little bigger screen. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a little bit better camera than HTC U Play, because although it has a camera with a much lower 12 megapixels resolution and a tinier diafragm aperture, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 video quality.
HTC U Play features a very superior memory for games and applications than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a superior battery lifetime than HTC U Play, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 2500mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than the HTC U Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC U Play. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 9 Pro, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the HTC U Play, giving up some specifications.
