The Galaxy Alpha is just a bit better than HTC U Play, getting a 76.3 score against 73.5. The Galaxy Alpha is a somewhat thinner and extremely lighter phone than the HTC U Play. Galaxy Alpha has a bit more powerful processing unit than HTC U Play, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster) and 1 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processor.
Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit more vivid screen than HTC U Play, although it has a way lower screen density, a way lower 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and a quite smaller screen. The HTC U Play has a much better storage to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the HTC U Play also has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The HTC U Play counts with greater battery life than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 34% bigger battery capacity. The Galaxy Alpha shoots slightly better photos and videos than HTC U Play, because although it has a way less mega-pixels back-facing camera and a smaller aperture which is not nice for taking images in low light situations, it also counts with a much better video resolution.
Even being the best phone of the ones we compare here, Galaxy Alpha is also very cheap compared to the other ones.
