The Xperia 1 V has an overall score of 82.7, which is much better than the HTC U Play's 73.5 score. Xperia 1 V's body is notably newer, but just a little thicker and way heavier than the HTC U Play. The HTC U Play features a much better performing processor than Xperia 1 V, although it has less RAM, they both have the same number of cores.

The Sony Xperia 1 V has a slightly better looking screen than HTC U Play, because it has a lot better 1644 x 3840 resolution, a lot greater display pixel density and a bigger screen.
