Xiaomi Mi MIX is a little bit better than HTC U Play, with a general score of 76.2 against 73.5. The Xiaomi Mi MIX body has the same thickness than HTC U Play, but it is incredibly heavier. Xiaomi Mi MIX counts with just a bit better display than HTC U Play, because although it has a bit lower pixels number per inch in the display, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2040 pixels and a bigger display.
HTC U Play features just a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a greater number of cores. The HTC U Play counts with a much better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that admits up to 1,95 TB.

Although Xiaomi Mi MIX is a better device, it costs more than HTC U Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HTC U Play. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX, else you can save some money and get the HTC U Play, letting go a couple specifications.
