Moto Z2 Play has a general score of 77.4, which is slightly better than the HTC U Ultra's general score of 77. Moto Z2 Play's design is somewhat lighter and a lot thinner than HTC U Ultra, even when they were released with only 4 months difference. The Moto Z2 Play has a bit better hardware performance than HTC U Ultra, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Moto Z2 Play also has a greater number of cores.
HTC U Ultra features a slightly better looking display than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because it has a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, a little bit larger screen and a greater pixels density. HTC U Ultra captures a little bit better videos and photos than Moto Z2 Play, although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low light images, they both have the same (4K) video definition, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and a 12 megapixels back-facing camera.
Moto Z2 Play and HTC U Ultra both feature really similar memory capacity to install games and applications, both of them have exactly the same internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 1,95 TB. The Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with a battery performance that is just as good as HTC U Ultra's battery performance.
