Comparison review
The HTC U Ultra has a score of 77, which is a bit better than Moto Z3 Play's 76.3 general score. The HTC U Ultra body is older, just a little heavier and somewhat thicker than Moto Z3 Play. Moto Z3 Play has a processing unit that is very similar to the processing unit in HTC U Ultra, and although the Moto Z3 Play has a greater number of cores , they both have the same RAM amount.
HTC U Ultra counts with a little sharper display than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixel density and a higher 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. Motorola Moto Z3 Play's memory capacity for apps and games is just as good as the HTC U Ultra one, both have a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB and equal internal memory.
HTC U Ultra takes just a bit better videos and photos than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light captures and video, and they both have the same video resolution, a same resolution back facing camera and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the HTC U Ultra also counts with a larger back camera sensor taking better quality videos and photographs.
The HTC U Ultra and the Moto Z3 Play have similar battery performance.
Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Moto Z3 Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Moto Z3 Play. So if you want that extra features, you can buy HTC U Ultra, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Moto Z3 Play, resigning a couple features and specs.
