Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A40 is just a bit better than HTC U Ultra, getting a 79.6 score against 77. The Samsung Galaxy A40 is a lighter phone than HTC U Ultra, but both are equally thin. The Galaxy A40's CPU is just as good as the HTC U Ultra one, and although the Galaxy A40 has a higher number of cores (but slower), they both have a 4 GB RAM.
The HTC U Ultra has a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher pixels density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560. HTC U Ultra has a slightly better camera than Galaxy A40, because although it has a camera with a much worse 12 megapixels resolution and a smaller aperture, it also counts with a bigger sensor shooting higher quality photographs and videos and a lot better video resolution.
HTC U Ultra features a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy A40, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the HTC U Ultra also has an external SD slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. Galaxy A40 counts with a bit better battery lifetime than HTC U Ultra, because it has 3100mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
