The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a little bit better than HTC U Ultra, with a general score of 80.8 against 77. The Samsung Galaxy S5 design is lighter than HTC U Ultra, although it's a bit thicker and was released 3 years before. Samsung Galaxy S5 has a brighter display than HTC U Ultra, because although it has a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of display.
HTC U Ultra counts with much more memory for apps and games than Galaxy S5, because it has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 1,95 TB and more internal storage capacity. Galaxy S5 features a bit better processing power than HTC U Ultra, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Galaxy S5 also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.
